Our bedding range includes 200, 260, 300 and 400 thread counts. In our opinion there is no need to choose anything other than this. Within this range all our customers should be able to find a suitable balance between comfort, luxury and value for money.
For fabrics with a thread count of higher than 400T, we can supply this, but we actively discourage our customers from using anything higher than 400T. A popular myth currently exists that the higher the thread count, the higher the quality. This is not true. Quality depends on the yarn used and the finishing process that the grey fabric is subjected to. Additionally, anything higher than 400T becomes un-washable in commercial laundries due to 'hydro-burst' which occurs with the inability of the water to pass through the fabric.
Our bedding products start from a basic 200 thread count plain weave but our 200 thread count is no ordinary 200T. It is manufactured using the finest brushed cotton for a soft but durable hand feel. 260T and 300T are higher quality luxury products manufactured using a twill weave and are suitable for use in any 5 star hotel. Our 400T product is the ultimate luxury bedding product and is suitable for those hotels who really wish to display a caring attitude towards its customers.
For those customers that require bedding with a design or jacquard, we can supply this in qualities of 260T and higher. Designs can range from stripes, checks, squares, waves or intricate jacquards.
Having also supplied many commercial laundries, we are fully aware of potential problems such as skewing on pillowcases, shrinkage, stitching durability and straightness, and most importantly consistent sizing and fabric quality.
